Welcome to Troop 24!
We look forward to your son being a part of our troop and helping him
learn and grow in the years to come. The leaders in the troop will guide
the scout to any goal that he may want to achieve. (Hopefully it would
be the rank of Eagle) We do not have specific goals or timetables for
each scout, he needs to realize what the goals are and work for them on
his own.
To complete the transition from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts, there are
some things we need:
- Boy Scout application: Filled out to transfer the boy into the troop
- An Adult Leader Application: If either one or both of you would like
to become involved as a member of the Troop Committee or as an Assistant
Scoutmaster. We have leaders with a lot of different talents, and we
are always looking for more!
- *Scout
Personal Data:&* Adult
Personal Data: Please give any additional information that is not
on the Boy Scout application. If you and/or your son has e-mail, please
put that on the sheet along with the vehicle information on the bottom.
(We need this for the Tour Permits for trips.)
- Personal Health and Medical Record: This form is to be filled out
by you and the boy's doctor for Troop records. This gives us the information
we need if there is ever a medical emergency at a trip. (This form is
required for Summer Camp) Most doctors will fill out this form by dropping
it off to them, if the boy has had a recent exam.
We do fundraising in the troop at different times of the year. A portion
of the profits will go into an account for the scout to use for Summer
Camp. We have scouts that are 100% paid from their fundraising! If you
have any questions about the fund-raisers, the two people in charge are
Kathy Morgan, and Jane Sexton.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, and again
welcome to Boy Scouting!
* These
forms may be printed and brought to the troop meeting.
